This item is order-made only. It will be shipped 2-3 weeks after your order.
The vest of the REKROW outdoor series. Designed by Shinichiro Ishibashi of KUON. This item is sewn using workwear jackets and pants parts. The zipper used for workwear is shortened and reused. The reflectors are repurposed as brand-name patches, and the REKROW logo is engraved by hand.
The large back pocket is sized perfectly to hold both firewood and beer. We added a chest loop to allow options for a carabiner or even your sunglasses. The large and small pockets have been designed to be functional and practical, making it an excellent piece for the outdoor lifecycle and easy addition to your casual wardrobe. Your style, Your choice.
This product follows a unique design process, where we use different parts to create the fabric - not patchwork.
Designed with efficiency in mind to maximize the fabric efficiently. All the sewing techniques used were maintained
at the highest quality and consistency. This makes all the products we make, stand the test of time.
By selecting parts with great age and patina, such as knees, back knees, hips, and abraded parts
of outerwear, each finished product looks individual and uniquely different.

REKROW “h” Product
The "h" represents the "hour" and the “human”.
For the countless “hours” it takes the “human” to collect, assort, unravel and unpick the workwear, then resew and
transform it into our new product by hand.
REKROW will build and preserve a Circular Manufacturing platform that will pass on this region's skills and know-how
for the future by imparting the manufacturing story of WORKER.
The Material
The No.1 material used for the REKROW garment originates from denim workwear garments that have been worn for a year
in the shipyards of Setouchi. The fabric is originally from “Kaihara denim”, a local world-class Japanese quality
denim mill. The materials used reflect the works of welders, riveters, and painters, and no two are alike. We
carefully unpick each and every garment and repurpose them. Fading, discoloration, stains, broken threads, and holes
are created naturally. All materials are unique. We dare to care to highlight their hard work.
The Unraveling
We collect all the workwear and then begin manually unpicking and unraveling each by hand, step by step. A single
jacket can be divided into 25 parts, a pair of pants has over 20 parts.
The “unraveling” process can take up to five times longer than the “sewing” process.
The “unraveling” process reveals a new shade and contrast that was previously hidden and changed over time.
With each step of the “Unraveling” process, you can feel the value created by time.
Each unique piece of the garment has been combined individuality one by one by craftsmen. Good things take time.
The Product
All the workwear made, worn, and collected for the REKROW products is produced in a small area of Fukuyama city.
This area has many skilled manufacturing factories that have continued for generations and can handle all areas from
fabric, sewing, processing, and finishing.
It is rare in Japan to discover one region where all the manufacturing can be completed in a single area. Through
cooperation and harmony in a small region, such a platform is made perfect for our regeneration and circularity.
Real skills, true know-how.
REKROW products from Hiroshima are made with users' sensibilities in mind.
